We can hardly believe it’s been a whole year since we opened our shop, Mill Creations, and what a year we have had!

They say Hindsight is a wonderful thing ! Would we have opened a brand new shop if we knew where our economy would be now ? probably not but we can honestly say we have no regrets.

We have met and served some lovely people and hopefully helped a lot of them on their sewing journey for which we are so grateful.

For me personally I have been fortunate enough to work with my daughter Isabel everyday. (She may not agree!) It’s been a pleasure to see her blossom, and for those who know her, to see her creations, as I keep telling her the best apprentice I have ever had.

We love our little sewing community and our home here in Sunny Bank Mills and we are so proud of what we have achieved over the past 12 months with the shop and Sewing School

• Improving the well being of a number of our students and customers by spreading the love of sewing

• Creating a “creative hub” to help elevate loneliness and isolation

• Establishing relationships with many more fabric suppliers so we can offer great quality fabric at great prices and increase stock levels.

• And to put the cherry on top of the cake we are delighted that Esme Young is coming along to our shop to promote her new book “Behind the Seams”
